The Ultimate Guide to Planning a Road Trip
Road Trip Essentials.
Table of Contents
Planning a road trip can be exciting, but it’s important to make sure you have all the essentials to make your trip as comfortable and safe as possible. So what to take for a car trip?
Here are some road trip essentials to consider packing:
Navigation Tools
A GPS device, a map (which I highly recommend in case you run out of battery or internet) or a smartphone with a navigation application can help you find your way and plan your route.
First Aid Kit:
A basic first aid kit should include antiseptic wipes, bandages, gauze pads, tape, pain relievers, and any prescription medications you may need.
Snacks and drinks:
Pack plenty of water and healthy snacks like fruit, nuts, and granola bars to keep you energized and hydrated on the trail.
Blankets and pillows:
These can come in handy if you need to take a nap or if the weather turns cold.
Entertainment:
Take your best playlist of music, audio-books or other forms of entertainment to keep you entertained during long periods of driving.
Here is my favorite playlist on Spotify.
Emergency equipment:
A flashlight, jumper cables, a spare tire, and a roadside assistance kit can help you deal with unexpected car problems. Remember to go to the gas station to check that your tires and car are perfect.
Personal hygiene items:
Don’t forget to pack your personal items like a toothbrush, toothpaste, and wet wipes to keep you feeling great on the road.
Comfortable clothes:
Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that allow you to move and stretch your legs.
Cash and Credit Cards:
Make sure you have enough money to cover gas, food, and lodging. And have cash on hand especially if you are going to be in smaller towns where cards are not accepted.
Camera:
Don’t forget to capture memories of your trip by bringing a camera or using your phone to take pictures. They are your memories for the future.
