Valentine’s Day in Vancouver
What to do in Valentine's day
Table of Contents
Do you know what to do in Valentine’s day in Vancouver? Here’s a list of some things you can do with your partner and not miss this romantic date.
Hot chocolate?
Do not miss the Vancouver Hot Chocolate Festival that started from January 15th to February 14th. Featuring pastries shops, bakeries, coffee, ice cream and the best hot chocolate in town. Great way to spend Valentine’s with your boo.
Go snowshoeing or hiking
There’s plenty of free places where you can go and explore the mountains with your love one. And it is an amazing way to have fun, burn some calories and have a great time together.
Here are some places I recommend:
Grouse Mountain

Dog Mountain in Mount Seymour
You can even bring Fido with you. https://mtseymour.ca/snowshoe-trail-status-map
Hollyburn Peak
On Cypress Mountain
Black Mountain Plateau
On Cypress Mountain
Bowen Lookout Winter Trails

I LOVE Vancouver
Walk around Downtown in search for the LOVE installations around the place. While you find them, you can grab a cup of coffee, have a beer, get an ice cream or even have lunch in one of the many restaurants around. It is a perfect spot for Valentine’s Day in downtown Vancouver
These are my favorites:
Coo Coo Café
VMF Winter Arts
I think this is one of the coolest experiences and ideas for a fun Valentine’s. You can explore the city of Vancouver while you discover augmented reality art that are spread all over downtown and Vancouver using your smartphone. From February 11 to 27 Check it out! VMF Winter Arts
Twilight Drive-in
How about a romantic, old school date movie? Here you can watch a movie in the comfort of your own car. Don’t forget to check their website out for more information. http://www.twilightdrivein.net
Explore the city by bike and finish it with a romantic picnic.
I know it is winter, but exploring the city by bike is always fun plus you’ll be warm in no time, after that you can either go to a bar or grab a coffee or just sit down on the beach or a park and enjoy the sunset with a nice picnic.
Talking about beer, go beer bar hopping!
I don’t know you guys, but I’ve become very fond of Canadian beer, the best part is that almost any local brand is good, so if you like beer, you should go beer bar hopping through downtown, and just leave your car behind. Ps: If you don’t know which one to get I suggest a Hazy IPA or any Pale Ale. 😉
Romantic Stroll on Capilano Suspension Bridge
From February 4th to 28th, you can enjoy the Capilano Love Lights. You may already know this place, but it definitely gives a very romantic atmosphere for the day, plus if you have the annual pass just reserve your spot and go. And from the 10th to the 14th there will be Valentine’s Day activities, so you can enjoy a nice view with a hot chocolate (delicious). Don’t forget to make your reservation at capbridge.com.
Spa day?
No better place to relax than the Scandinava Spa in Whistler, you can either have a massage or just go into their Scandinavian baths. The best part is that you can just arrive and get on the waiting list, as a walk-in or make a reservation in advance.
